Alexis Bridges developed the C E Mitchell Services Foundation out of a deep admiration and respect for her aunt, Carolyn Elaine Mitchell, whose wisdom and passion for education and entrepreneurship left a lasting impact on her life and the lives of countless others.
Carolyn was a remarkable woman who believed that the key to success was not just hard work, but smart work. Growing up during a time when resources were scarce, she developed innovative ways to make the most out of what was available. Her philosophy, "work smarter, not harder," became a guiding principle for everyone who knew her.
Carolyn believed that every child, regardless of their background, had the potential to achieve great things if given the right tools and opportunities.
She always emphasized the importance of resilience, adaptability, and lifelong learning.
When Carolyn passed away in February 2014, her absence was deeply felt by all who knew her. Her niece, Alexis realized that the best way to honor her memory and carry forward her legacy was to create an organization dedicated to the values she held dear. Thus, C E Mitchell Services Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) organization on September 3, 2020.
C E Mitchell Services Foundation was created to provide tutoring scholarships for students in underserved communities, prepare students for SAT & ACT test prep and teach financial literacy.
“Our mission is to equip children with the right tools that will enable them to learn, grow, and develop beyond a traditional school setting through education and financial literacy.”
